Instructions

  1.     Take a round watermelon and cut " from the stem end.
  2.     From the piece you removed use a round cookie cutter to cut a circle from the center of the piece. This small circle will be used as the cover handle on the very top of the teapot. With the outer ring that you are left with, place it on a plate and then use it as a base to place the teapot on top of.
  3.     From the opposite end slice off about 4 inches and put this piece aside. From the remaining watermelon, remove all flesh from inside using a melon baller.
  4.     Take the 4" thick piece and cut in half to make two 2" inch circular pieces. Take the end section to use as the teapot cover and decorate it using a melon baller to scoop out a hole and then fill it with a melon ball.
  5.     Take the other 2" ring and cut it in half to become the handle and spout. Cut away some of the inner red flesh and then decorate the outer rind in the same way you decorated the teapot cover.
  6.     Secure both the handle and spout using toothpicks and finally fill with your melon balls.
